CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Minimising resource consumption and designing out waste

A circular economy is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources.

Circular systems employ reuse, sharing, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing and recycling. Circularity entails gradually decoupling economic activity from the consumption of finite resources and designing waste out of the system.

Led by global organisations such as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and WWF, circularity is widely seen as the next big economic transition for business.
